My Piano Student With Down syndrome Plays a Christmas Song For You

Amy, who is one of my most awesome piano-students, will surprise you with her favorite Christmas-song “Oh Come Emmanuel.” Amy was born with Down syndrome, and she amazes me all the time.

It’s Christmas time, and we sing our favorite Christmas songs: Silent Night, What Child Is This, Joy To The World The Lord Has Come: Let Every Heart Prepare Him Room.

This is a time for reflection, stillness, peace and making ROOM for what’s important…yet my heart feels crowded with worry and fear about the future of my little girl with Down syndrome. I worry about the unknown, things that are out of my control.

Do you ever feel this way? Is your heart filled with discontent sometimes?

I pray that God will encourage all of us, and help our spirits to be joyful. Even if all the presents aren’t wrapped, yet and things haven’t gone as planned.

Please God, help us trust that you are present, that you are Emmanuel = God-with-us.

It is my wish and prayer for you this Christmas, that you can feel God’s presence.

Enjoy Amy’s performance of “Oh Come Emmanuel.”

Please SHARE with all your friends.
